In the past decades Colchester has envisioned transforming West Lakeshore Drive into a recreation and tourism center on Mallets Bay, but the lack of infrastructure has stymied those plans . Now with efforts to address infrastructure moving forward, the town will begin updating the zoning and development standards for “Malletts Bay Village”.
The Colchester Planning Commisssion is inviting everyone who lives, works and recreates on the Bay to join in a series of events intended to refine the vision for Malletts Bay Village and consider how to make that future happen.
The sessions consist of:
Tuesday May 19th, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm – Brown Bag Lunch at the Bayside Activity Center – An update on development initiatives and an open discussion of the big issues confronting West Lakeshore development. That session will be followed by a Walk-And-Talk, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Bayside Pavillion and a Visioning Session 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the High School Cafeteria.
