Colchester Middle School students have been hard at work singing, learning lines, choreographing dance steps, and creating props and scenery for this year’s performance of Peter Pan, Jr.
The musical will be performed on two nights only: Thursday and Friday, April 9 and 10 at 7:00 pm in the Colchester High School theatre. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors. The performance is expected to last about an hour and a half.
“The students have worked so hard on this over the past five months,” said Emily Desautels, CMS band and musical director. “It’s amazing to see how everything comes together…It takes dedication, creativity and a lot of energy, and these students were definitely up to the challenge.”
The story follows Wendy and her brothers as they travel to Neverland with Peter Pan, meeting fairies, lost boys, mermaids, natives, and taking on the villainous Captain Hook and his pirate crew. There are familiar stories and songs; fun for the whole family!
More than 50 CMS students are involved on and off stage in the production.
