The Colchester High School Science Center upgrade will be officially inaugurated at 5:30 pm tomorrow September 11th. While classes have been ongoing in the newly configured classrooms and labs for some time now, the time has come to cut the ribbon and celebrate project completion.
The Colchester High School Science faculty will perform the ribbon cutting to thank the taxpayers of Colchester for the support of this essential upgrade. Also honored will be the citizen members of the Science Center Taskforce who along with the faculty collaborated with the architects from Black River Design to come to a final design outcome. These business, scientific and medical experts from our community provided their unique and essential perspectives, all helping to assure the form of the classrooms would allow them to function as modern labs for scientific inquiry and discovery.
Governor Peter Shumlin is scheduled to attend as well as the Secretary of the Agency of Education, Rebecca Holcombe. Following the inaugration, the CHS Parent Open House will run from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The itinerary for the inauguration can be found at CHS Science Center Grand Opening
