Promoting Literacy $10 at a Time

Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.
—Maya Angelou

The Colchester Education Association (CEA) recently donated another round of $10 Barnes and Noble gift cards to students in Colchester School District to help promote the district’s literacy efforts. The CEA’s gift card giveaway—twenty-four of them all across the district!—also provides the winning students with additional opportunities to add to their personal libraries.

Here are the lucky recipients from Malletts Bay School!
