Two Great Events at Burnham Memorial Library: Upcoming Author Visit and Free Tutoring Available!

Want to meet an author? And/or interested in free tutoring?

Burnham Memorial Library will welcome Jo Knowles, author of See You at Harry’s, on Wednesday, November 6 at 7:30 p.m. (To view a flyer about the event, please click here.)

Following her participation the monthly DCF discussion group (which begins at 6:30 p.m. and is taped by Vermont Public Radio), this author of one of the most talked about books on the 2013/2014 Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award (DCF) list will answer questions from the audience and sign copies of her books, and copies of her latest titles will be available for sale. The books are also available at the Burlington and Essex locations of Phoenix Books.

The One-on-One Tutoring program at Burnham Memorial Library has started once again. Students from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences tutor students in reading, math, and science.

While the program focuses upon students in grades 1–6, tutoring is available for students in other grades for certain subjects.

There is no fee for this service!

The tutoring, which takes place at Burnham Memorial Library, runs until early December. Those interested in taking advantage of this fabulous opportunity may sign up via the website; please click here to access it.
