CMS and CHS Team Up in Making Strides

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students and teachers from Colchester Middle School and Colchester High School are teaming up to raise funds and awareness about the disease.

PinkRibbon

CMS’s Caring Cougars and CHS’s CHS Cares are selling pink bracelets and T-shirts to help raise funds for cancer research. Additionally, many students, faculty, and staff members are teaming up to participate in the Making Strides walking event on Sunday, October 20, and they encourage community members to join them. A shuttle will provide transportation to Dorset Park from South Burlington High School beginning at 11:00 a.m. The walk begins at 1:00 p.m.

The event is a non-competitive, five-mile walk (there is a one-mile option, as well).

If you would like to join the Cougars and the Lakers and participate in this community- and wellness-oriented event, you may register at the event, or you may register online in advance; please click here for the online registration page. The team name is Colchester CMS/CHS Crusaders.

Many thanks to the Cougars and the Lakers for their efforts around community and wellness! Both are important themes in the Colchester School District Vision and Strategic Plan 2012–2017.
