Got Trash? Town of Colchester’s Fast Trash Pilot Project Running in August

In partnership with Myers Container Service, the Town of Colchester is exploring options for offering residents a trash and recycling drop-off location.

Called the Fast Trash Pilot Project, this four-week trial service will accept household trash and blue-bin recyclables for the next three Saturdays. Here are the details:

Dates: Saturday, August 10; Saturday, August 17; and Saturday, August 24, 2013
Location: Malletts Bay Fire Department parking lot on 838 Church Road, located behind the fire station
Time: 8:00 a.m. to noon

  • Trash: $3 for an 18-gallon bag; $5 for a 33-gallon bag; $6 for a 45-gallon bag
  • Recycling: $2 for a blue bin or 18-gallon bag; $3 for a 33- or 45-gallon bag

Payment options: Cash and local checks only
