PPS Welcomes New Teachers for the 2012–2013 School Year!

Porters Point School eagerly welcomes two new educators into its community. We proudly introduce them to you here—please join us in welcoming them!

Meg Terrien will teach first grade.

Meg Terrien is a Colchester High School graduate who has returned to teach within Colchester School District! She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from St. Lawrence University and a master’s degree in education from Manhattanville College. The coming school year will be her third teaching in Vermont, having previously taught fourth grade at Swanton Central School and first grade at South Royalton School. She also teaches Jazzercise classes in Colchester and in Burlington … when she’s not scooping ice cream at her family’s ice cream shop, The Village Scoop.

Natalie LaRose will teach second grade.

Natalie LaRose, who holds a business degree and her elementary teaching licensure from Saint Michael’s College (SMC), will teach second grade. Her previous teaching experience includes teaching Title I at Edmunds Middle School and both second and third grade at Burlington’s Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes. Natalie is currently earning her masters in Special Education at SMC.
