Have You Heard About the ACE Program?

For those of you who haven’t heard about it and who are interested in before-and-after-school care, the Town of Colchester offers a program for children in grades K–5 at Union Memorial School, Porters Point School, and Malletts Bay School. This state-licensed program is called ACE—Active Creative Enrichment—and it is designed to provide a structured environment that fosters development opportunities through age-appropriate activities.

ACE participants enjoy a variety of activities, such as indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, field trips, and opportunities to work on homework, and nutritious snacks are provided.

In addition to passing a comprehensive background check, the program’s staff members have or are working toward degrees in education or in similar fields.

Financial assistance for the program is available through the Child Development Division of the Vermont Agency of Human Services. You may also contact Child Care Resource at (802) 863-3367 or by e-mail at mail@childcareresource.org.
