I learn something not because I have to, but because I really want to. That’s the same view I have for performing. I’m performing because I really want to, not because I have to bring bread back home.
Have a touch of Cabin Fever? Come on out to the Music & Meal Soiree at Colchester High School on Friday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. and help support a trip to New York City!
The event will feature small ensembles of band and chorus students serenading dinner guests. Come warm up with a spaghetti dinner and catch up with your friends and neighbors on a cold winter night.
Admission is $10 at door and $6 for those twelve and under, and all money raised will support the April 15–16 music trip to New York City. The trip includes a walking tour of the city, seeing Chicago on Broadway, and touring Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and NBC Studios. The student ensembles will also perform at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum!
In our December 1 CSD Spotlight feature, we discussed why music education is so valuable. Please mark your calendars and join us for an enjoyable evening supporting and connecting with our students.
