The second “warm fuzzies” celebration for students at Porters Point School has already taken place.
PPS, which is successfully implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), hosted a celebratory mini-field day for the students in recognition of their efforts to demonstrate safe and respectful behaviors. The event was structured to include five different game-centered stations, and apples were provided by CSD’s food services program. And many thanks to the gracious volunteers who helped out with the event—Stephanie Sowles, Allison Fitzgerald, Jennifer Puttlitz, and Shauna Knapp!
PPS will host a presentation for parents on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. about PBIS, and PPS will also make a presentation to the school board about it at the November 15 meeting.
