As we continue to introduce our new educators, let us welcome Liz Canal to Colchester High School.
A native New Yorker who has always dreamed of living in Vermont, Liz holds a math degree from SUNY Geneseo and a masters in natural resources management from SUNY ESF (Environmental Science and Forestry).
Her career past includes managing renewable energy youth employment programs in New York and municipal energy outreach initiatives in New Hampshire.
She became interested in pursuing a career in education after teaching environmental stewardship for the Green Apple Corps in New York City. She is a Teacher Apprenticeship Program (TAP) participant, teaching a geometry class and student teaching two geometry classes and two consumer math classes at CHS under Mr. Martin’s direction. Her goal is to engage students with real-world math and science applications.
She is an avid skier and is looking forward to some great skiing snow!
