Is it possible to make the pizza-eating experience even better?
Why, yes. Yes, it is.
How can you make eating pizza even better?
By eating pizza for a great cause!
Support Project Grad by dining in or ordering out at New York Pizza Oven in Colchester on Monday, September 12 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. New York Pizza Oven will donate a portion of the proceeds to Project Grad 2012.
Project Grad’s mission is to promote a fun and safe drug- and alcohol-free environment in which newly graduated CHS seniors can celebrate together. Some past events, which generally have run from 7:00 p.m. on graduation night until 7:00 the following morning, have included renting a floor at the Sheraton and providing a DJ, dancing, games, food, ferry rides, bowling, a hypnotist, a comedian, and so much more, and between 70 and 80 percent of the students typically attend. It is a great event, but it takes a lot of money—about $25,000—to pay for everything. Because of this, a number of fundraisers throughout the year are necessary, as well as the support of generous community members.
Please stop by New York Pizza Oven at Lakeshore Plaza in Malletts Bay or call in an order at (802) 658-0925 on Monday, September 12 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m..
Mmmm…now that’s a tasty idea.
The Project Grad Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. in room 109 at Colchester High School to discuss upcoming
events and fundraising, and meetings will be held throughout the year in the same room at the same time on the first Thursday of the month beginning on October 6. All community members are encouraged to participate and lend their ideas and support.
