Colchester-Milton Rotary Seeks Volunteers for Operation Helping Hands!

As we all know, Lake Champlain’s historic flooding this season has been devastating. The Colchester-Milton Rotary Club is coordinating Operation Helping Hands on June 25 & 26 in an effort to assist in the clean-up effort in our neighborhoods.

Heavy-equipment professionals will assist in the effort, but hundreds of hands are also needed. Please join us in helping our friends and neighbors and in preserving our twenty-seven miles of shoreline.

Here are some additional details:

WHEN: June 25 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m, & June 26 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: Airport Park

Parking will be at Colchester High School and Colchester Middle School. Volunteers will be shuttled by bus to Airport Park.

Water and food will be provided throughout the day.

Please bring one plain, white T-shirt to wear (team information will be written on it at the park). Please also wear sunscreen and gloves—and please do not wear sandals. Closed-toe shoes only!

All children under middle school age must be accompanied by an adult!
