Ospreys Soar in International Walk to School Day

I have the European urge to use my feet when a drive can be dispensed with.

As part of our ongoing effort to support wellness in Colchester School District, students at Malletts Bay School stepped off from Bayside Park to participate in International Walk to School Day on October 3.

The Partnership for a Walkable America created Walk to School Day in 1997 in order to build awareness about the need for walkable communities, and it has since grown to involve participants all over the world.

St. Michael’s College students turned out to cheer the Ospreys on.

Volunteer athletes from St. Michael’s College were on hand to help cheer the Ospreys on

Many thanks to the volunteers from St. Michael’s College for their active involvement, and many thanks to all of our many parents and community participants, as well!

Here’s a quick video clip of the grand event.
