On Tuesday, August 21 at 5:30 p.m., Malletts Bay School will hold an informational meeting for families of third graders about Study Island, a web-based instruction, practice, assessment, and reporting system. The purpose of Study Island is to help students master the skills required in Vermont’s Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) as assessed by the annual NECAP assessments.
MBS will also host an informal open house event on Tuesday, August 28 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. While the event is primarily geared toward incoming third graders and families who are new to Colchester, everyone is welcome to stop in for a visit! Please note: the Town of Colchester will use the MBS gym for the primary vote on that same day, so parking will be very limited; visitors may wish to consider walking, bike riding, or carpooling if possible.
And don’t forget the annual MBS & CMS Back-to-School BBQ on Monday, August 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please sign up to reserve a meal for your family. The barbecue is a fun, relaxing way to start the school year.
